Man’s Failure – God’s Grace
Nehemiah 1:8-9
Remember, I beseech thee, the word that thou commandedst thy servant Moses, saying, If ye transgress, I will scatter you abroad among the nations: 9 But if ye turn unto me, and keep my commandments, and do them; though there were of you cast out unto the uttermost part of the heaven, yet will I gather them from thence, and will bring them unto the place that I have chosen to set my name there.
I am amazed at this theme in the Bible. The Israelites turned away from God. The Israelites turned to false gods, but as soon as they repent towards God, He restores them. It is repeated over and over. Man’s failure and God’s grace. I have made thousands of mistakes. I make them every day. I hurt people. I don’t trust God. I am like a spoiled kid. However, God always offers grace. He loves me. He died for me. God is a merciful God. People mess up, but God still loves us
