An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: 40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. Matthew 12:39-40
It is oftentimes easy to want a sign from God. I want to know for sure that God loves me. I want something that I can hold onto and know for certain. However, the Bible shows me here that I need to simple look back to what Jesus has already done. He died on the cross. He made the ultimate sacrifice for me and that shows His love and commitment towards all sinners.
