God gives grace to the humble

2 Chronicles 34:27 Because thine heart was tender, and thou didst humble thyself before God, when thou heardest his words against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, and humbledst thyself before me, and didst rend thy clothes, and weep before me; I have even heard theealso, saith the LORD.

In my life pride grows like kudzu. I get cut down and then somehow my pride grows right back. The Bible tells me that God answered this king’s prayer because he humbled himself. Let me put it this way. God likes humble people. He doesn’t like proud people. He listens to the prayer of the humble. He gives grace to the humble. I need to listen to Him!
