For I was envious at the foolish, When I saw the prosperity of the wicked. Psalms 73:3

“Sinners have it better than me.” I have had this thought many times in my life. I have thought to myself, “Why do wicked people always seem to get the better end of the deal? The people that hate God oftentimes seem to be the most blessed. Why does this happen?”  The writer of the Psalms here seem to have the same thoughts. He was envious when he saw the prosperity of the wicked. However, I need to grasp the truth that this Psalm speaks of later in this chapter. It tells me that the wicked’s apparent prosperity will not last. Think about it. After death, what will he have? He will have everlasting death. He will  eternal punishment. God will save those that trust in Him and the wicked will be punished. The righteous will win in the end!
