For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the Lord, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments. Ezra 7:10-11
I think Ezra gives us a great example of how we should approach the word of God. He sought the word, did the word, and then taught the word. If you are going to learn anything from the word of God you are going to have to seek or look into the word. You will not learn anything until you spend time in God’s word. Secondly, you must then seek to apply the word. You must strive to obey what you have learned. Thirdly, after you have done the first two then you can teach the word. I need to make sure that I am seeking and doing God’s word before I teach it.
