Matthew 6:8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him

The Bible reminds me of something that I know but many times do not put into practice. God already knows what I need. Whether that be money, a job, or a spouse. I think sometimes it solely depends on me to let God know of all the needs in my life but this verse shows me that it is simply not true. God knows everything. Maybe in my life I need to spend less time asking and more time praising. Are my prayers filled with “I wants”? Or, are they filled with “thank yous”?
