But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions. Matthew 19:22

This man wanted to follow Jesus but he did not want to sacrifice anything to do that. He had made up his mind of what he wanted and he was not going to do anything differently. He was not willing to give up all to follow Jesus! I think that this is a good lesson for us today. Some people are not willing to give up all to follow Jesus. We must not let anything in our life distract us from living for Jesus.
