And it came to pass, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, Surely it is the king of Israel. And they turned aside to fight against him: and Jehoshaphat cried out. 1 Kings 22:32
There are two kings in this story. Jehoshaphat, a good king and Ahab, a bad king. In this, verse Jehoshaphat, is almost killed because they think that he is Ahab. This would have never happened if Jehoshaphat hadn’t of joined forces with Ahab. We see that he escapes with his life but it shows that he also made a foolish decision to fight with king Ahab. I think that this is true in my life. I may be following God but I need to think about who I hang out with. Am I going to be with friends that will bring me down? Am I going to team up with people that don’t want to hear what God has to say?
