Riches profit not in the day of wrath: But righteousness delivereth from death. Proverbs 11:4

As an American, I have a jacked up attitude towards money. We think that if we have riches then that automatically equals happiness and security. We see here that the Bible says the opposite. When we get to the end of life, there will be nothing left but judgement before God. Basically God is saying that money makes good firewood. It will never save us. Only Jesus can do that.
