Dear Friends and Prayer Partners,

December has been a crazy month for us! We had seven special events at church this month, and we have been working on the new church building every day. We have been busy, but God has been good, and here are a few of the highlights from this past month of December!

We are finishing the construction of the new church building for Iglesia Bautista Libertad! Lord willing, we will have our first service in the new church building during the first week of January. Over the past month, we had several work days at church, and over twenty church members helped each day to finish the construction. Some minor details and other things still need to be completed. However, most of the work is done, and we will begin using the building in 2024! This is great praise for us, and thank you so much to everyone who contributed to this project. We are so grateful and wouldn’t have been able to do this without you.

This past month, we had many special events to reach new people with the Gospel during this time of Christmas. Christmas is a wonderful time to reach others with the good news of Jesus, and we also had the opportunity to be a blessing to the community.

We had a children’s play in the church one Sunday morning and had several new visitors for this day. The husband of one of the ladies in the church that Bethany is doing discipleship with came to church for the first time to watch his daughter and was able to hear the Gospel!

We worked with a charitable foundation to organize an event for a barrio or neighborhood a kilometer from the church. There were over 200 people there, and I had the chance to share the Gospel. People from our church led a children’s program and some songs.

We had a Christmas dinner with over 100 people in attendance and were able to study the Christmas story and see that Christmas is all about Jesus!

We are also working on organizing different ministries in our church to reach more people with the Gospel and have more people involved in the work of the ministry. Please pray that we can train more people to serve and work in the church!

We are very excited about what God has in store for 2024 and would like to ask you to pray for us and Iglesia Bautista Libertad. Please pray that we will grow spiritually and numerically. Please pray that we will reach more people with the Gospel this year.
