Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime. Daniel 6:10

Daniel was a ruler of a huge country. He had tremendous responsibility but Daniel still prayed every day to God. There were some other rulers who became jealous of Daniel. They wanted him taken out so they set up a trap. Anybody who prayed to another God beside the king would be killed. Daniel heard about this decree but he didn’t hesitate for a minute. He went back to his house and prayed to God the same way he did before. Daniel had one focus. Live for God. He had one goal. Do want God wants. The verse challenged me to have the singular focus that Daniel had. I need to make living for God my highest priority.
