As for the word that thou hast spoken unto us in the name of the Lord, we will not hearken unto thee. Jeremiah 44:16

Jeremiah had a crazy task! He would speak the Word of God and everyone would reject it. They would hear what he had to say and then mock it. These people right here are saying that he was speaking in the name of the Lord. They knew he was speaking God’s Word. They knew this was a message from the one true God but they really just did’t care. They went and did their own thing. What happened to Jeremiah will happen to us today. People will agree that what we are teaching is from the Bible. They will agree that it is true, but they will still disobey it. They will still say that they want to do their own thing. My job today is to teach the Bible and let God do a work in people’s lives.
