Psalms 63:1 O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee:
My soul thirsteth for thee,
My flesh longeth for thee
In a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
I need God
When I am full of myself and pleased with how I am doing, I don’t need God. When things are going good, I don’t have that burning desire for God. I think that I have everything under control. What I don’t realize is that all those feelings are just coming from my pride. I desperately need God every day. I need that closeness to God because I am such a desperately, wicked guy. I need you God the same way I need food. I need you the same way that I need water everyday. Help me to never lose that desire to grow close to You.
